Красноярск — город, в котором я родилась и выросла. С того самого момента, как в далеком 1998 влюбилась в Placebo, я даже в самых смелых мечтах не могла себе представить, что когда-нибудь они приедут с концертом, увидят эти прекрасные пейзажи и пройдут по моим родным улицам. Потому и подход был основательный — для меня было бесконечно важно, какое впечатление останется у ребят от города и поклонников.

Krasnoyarsk is a city where I was born and grew up. Since the moment when I fell in love with Placebo's music, I couldn't imagine in my bravest dreams that one day they would play a show there, see these magnificent landscapes and walk along my home streets. That's why the preparations had to be so thorough. To me, the band's impression of the city and its fans was essential.

Мы с ней о многом поговорили, и в итоге группа действительно поездила по городу (и даже Молко!)

We talked about a lot of things, and then the band really went for a drive around the city (even with Molko as well!)

Идея с ромашками на B3 изначально была моей, и я просто отчаянно желала воплотить этот замысел в жизнь: целое поле ромашек в зале, целое поле белоснежных цветов, таких хрупких и призрачных в синем свете.

The idea with daisies during B3 was mine from the very beginning. And I've desperately wanted this concept to come true: an image of a whole field of daisies in a concert hall, a whole field of snow-white flowers, so fragile and ghostly in the blue light.


К сожалению, это стало и самой проблемной частью флэшмоба. Началось все с того, что на покупку цветов не хватало собранных денег, поэтому от приобретения их в Красноярске пришлось отказаться сразу. Буквально за день до вылета, я нашла все же место в Москве, где соотношение цена/качество было наилучшим. Этот момент даже сейчас вызывает во мне легкую дрожь: жуткая жара, сомнительный склад — с таким количеством мужиков, к тому же так косо на меня смотревших, я больше не сталкивалась никогда. Цветы полностью опустошили мой карман, так что, о такси пришлось забыть… И тащилась я вся такая одинокая 40 минут до ближайшей станции метро под палящим солнцем с 1500 ромашек в огромном бесформенном мешке на спине… Не буду упоминать кого и сколько раз я успела тогда проклясть =)

Unfortunately, getting the daisies became the hardest part of the flash mob. In the beginning, there wasn't enough money that we had collected to buy the flowers, which made purchasing them in Krasnoyarsk impossible. A day before my flight was to take off I had finally found a place in Moscow where price and quality were top-of-the-line. This moment makes me shiver even now: terrible heat, a creepy warehouse… Not once have I seen such an amount of men looking askance at me. The flowers emptied my wallet, so I had to forget about getting a taxi… And so I was trudging, alone, for about 40 minutes to the nearest subway station under the burning sun with 1500 daisies in a huge shapeless sack on my back. I don't want to remember whom and how many times had I damned at that time. =)


Ну, а дальше, если кратко, был самолет, съемная квартира и долгое насаживание каждого цветка на стебель.

After that, in two words, there was a plane, a rent flat and the long hours of fixing every flower on its stem.

Вообще, генерацией идей, по большей части, мы занимались вдвоем с Иваном Шадеровым из Красноярска. Во время моих мытарств с ромашками его занимали разного рода извращения с перчатками. В магазине 750 пар помогали пересчитывать аж 3 кассирши, а потом их нужно было еще и вручную раскрасить в стиле LLL — веселья хоть отбавляй! Вот с колорированием, насколько я знаю, были несколько добровольцев, которые Ване действительно помогли.

In general, me and Ivan Shaderov from Krasnoyarsk were mostly responsible for the ideas. During my hardship with daisies, Ivan was busy with various perversions involving rubber gloves. Three cashiers helped us count 750 pairs of gloves which then were to be painted by hand in the style of LLL artwork – which was more than enough entertainment! As I know, several volunteers really helped Ivan with coloration.

Плакаты, флаеры и браслеты для Afterparty мы тоже собирались везти из Москвы, так как здесь уже не первый год с печатью нам помогает Стаська Чернова. Но и тут не обошлось без происшествий. Когда мы с Ваней придумывали слоганы, идей было много и разных, каким-то не совсем понятным мне образом в типографии перепутали макеты. На выходе мы получили пачку «Thank you for this loud summer» для флешмоба в Питере и совершенно неожиданно — пачку «My dad loves Placebo more than vodka» вместо «лошадок». В итоге, было принято решение оставить плакаты с «водкой» для Субботника в Москве, а нужные плакаты печатать уже на месте, по приезду в Красноярск.

Posters, flyers and bracelets for the Afterparty were planned to be brought from Moscow, because Stasya Chernova always helped us there with printing for several years. But this time there were some misadventures as well. While Ivan and I were creating slogans, we had a lot of different ideas, and our layouts somehow got mixed up in a printing-office. In the end we got a pack of «Thank you for this loud summer» for the St. Petersburg flash mob and, all of a sudden, a whole pack of «My dad loves Placebo more than vodka» instead of the «horses». Finally, we decided to leave the vodka posters for the Subbotnik festival in Moscow and print the posters needed locally, in Krasnoyarsk, once we had come there.

В общем, в день концерта шли уже третьи сутки без сна… Возможность отдохнуть пару часов после перелета мы без зазрения совести променяли на завтрак с группой в отеле, а сразу после занялись «доподготовкой» флэшмобов. Весь день мы «собирали» ромашки и бегали в поисках типографии для печати плакатов. На площадку мы приехали часа за 4 до начала запуска и здесь уже получили долгожданную помощь от нескольких фанатов. Самым жестоким, конечно, было раскладывать перчатки на ступенях Арены и перекладывать их с места на место по мере захода солнца, потому что они не успели до конца просохнуть после покраски… Очень насыщенный был день…

Having said all that, by the time of Placebo show in Krasnoyarsk it was a third day without sleep already… An opportunity to rest for a couple hours after a flight was changed without any scruples for a breakfast with the band in a hotel and then we started to do extra preparation for flash mobs. The whole day we were fixing daisies and looking for a printing-office to print out our posters. We came to the location 4 hours before opening doors and there got long-awaited help from several fans. Putting gloves on the stairs of Arena and moving them as the sun was coming down (because gloves hadn't dried up yet after painting) was the roughest. That day was really eventful…

Дальше дело оставалось за малым: все раздать и самое главное — не уснуть на концерте =)

Then was little left to do: to hand everything out, and, most importantly, not to fall asleep at the show =)

Но все оно того стоило! Еще как стоило! Услышать от группы «Thank you for this colourful show», увидеть их реакцию, увидеть улыбки ребят на сцене во время флешмобов и понять, что даже со всеми переживаниями, нервными срывами и бессонницей ты хоть сейчас готов пройти все это с самого начала.

But it was well worth it! Extremely worth it! To hear the band thank us for this colourful show, to see their reaction, the smiles of guys on stage during the flash mob and understand that with all emotional stress, nervous collapse and insomnia you still were ready to go through the whole thing once again.

Кстати, красотой и оригинальностью флешмобов прониклись даже ребята из The Mirror Trap, которые разогревали Placebo. С ними я дружу уже очень давно, так что backstage–впечатления Placebo от первого концерта в туре мне передали лично и в красках.

By the way, even the guys from Placebo support act The Mirror Trap have appreciated the beauty and the originality of our flash mobs. We have been friends for a long time, so the backstage-impressions of Placebo from the first show of the tour were relayed to me personally and in living colours.
